So alot has happened since my last post which is very embarrassing.  I have been driving  the car and enjoying it before I started to modify it this year. So part of the design all along was to Fuel inject the thing and possibly do ECU controlled advance as well. Like everything else I do I did research and decided that Megasquirt was the way to go. I went to the Megameet figuring it was the place to see some cars running the ECU and to hear what other people had to say about there experience with the Megasquirt as well as talk to some vendors.

I had no idea how much info and advice there was to receive from that event. I talked to Scott who wrote for the TVR times and he informed me that a V8 was not the way to go due to fitment and driving concerns. So, I asked him what he would suggest and he said modern and light. I took it to heart and I understand where he is coming from so I am opting for a Ford Duratec 2.5 liter 4 cylinder, I am familiar with these engines and hey it keeps the same displacement so the car stays a 2500M!

I started looking for a transmission for the thing and decided to use a whole third gen Miata. I already autocross a 2006 so once again it made since to do so. I am planning on using all of the suspension as well. So here are pics!
So here is the 2010 Miata GT.

Front subframe with all the goodies still attached. The Miata's 2 liter will be ditched in favor of the Ford 2.5.

The driver side took a hard hit. No big deal though. I may be doing custom a arms any way. Although I am nervous about the condition of the rack.

Passenger side looks a lot better than the drivers :) .

She is getting kinda empty.

The rear suspension with all its multi-link glory. I am planning on sticking the whole thing in the TVR, but getting some off the shelf coilovers.
